TAMPA, Fla. — The University of South Florida men’s lacrosse program would like to announce an immediate opening for coaching applications. We are looking for head coaching, offensive coordinators, defensive coordinators, and other skill position coaches. This is a unique opportunity to lead a longstanding MCLA Division I program located in the beautiful city of Tampa.
The Men’s Lacrosse Club at USF competes as a Division I member of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) and is part of the SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC). We are seeking a motivated and experienced coach to help elevate our program to new heights. The ideal candidate will have a strong lacrosse background and the ability to lead a student-run club team while maintaining a competitive and inclusive team culture.
Job Summary & Primary Responsibilities:
Build and lead a qualified, committed coaching staff
Foster a culture of accountability, respect, professionalism, and excellence
Set clear expectations for team performance, both on and off the fieldPromote both athletic and academic success
Develop structured and well-documented practice plans
Conduct scouting and film review sessions
Implement effective in-game strategies and decision-making
Oversee off-season training and in-season strength & conditioning
Collaborate with the team’s Executive Board
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Prior experience coaching at the MCLA, high school, or collegiate level
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to recruit and retain talented student-athletes
Ability to work constructively with a diverse student body, parents, alumni, and university representatives
Passion for developing players on and off the field
